Poor communication and the failure of the Digicel Fiji 7s team to start well in their opening games in Scotland have been highlighted as their downfall.

Coach Josateki Savou side lost 12-14 to Scotland in their first pool game and 26-14 to Australia in the quarter final.

On both occasion Fiji made a lot of mistakes and in the quarter final against Australia they did not settle down in the first half.

But the side still record impressive 34-19 win against England in the plate semifinal and beat Samoa 26-14 to win the plate final.

Fiji finished on 4th spot with 122 points in the IRB overall standing.
