The chairman of the Public Service Commission has stressed that they will surely make some policy changes in line with the Singaporean Civil Service despite opposition by some trade unions.
Rishi Ram said he is not surprised with the objection by some unions and they will try to convince them to accept these new initiatives.
Meanwhile, the Fijian Teachers Association and the Fiji Nursing Association believe the PSC can never change Fiji into another Singapore.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Nursing Association believes they will continue to lose their best nurses if the interim government fails to fulfill its promises.
General Secretary Kuini Lutua said the solution to the problems faced by the country lies within and the interim government should not go out looking for solutions.
The Fijian Teachers Association also believes that the PSC can never change the civil service in Fiji to be like Singapore.
