Police will not question Ben Padarath yet as he is still recovering from the injuries he received when he lost control of the vehicle he was driving along Victoria Parade and hit another vehicle Tuesday Afternoon.

Assistant Police PRO Corporal Suliano Tevita said Padarath will only be questioned once he fully recovers from his injuries.

Tevita said Police did not say Padarath fled from the hospital but only wanted to know about his whereabouts when they did not find him at the hospital.

Benjamin Padarath has confirmed to Village News that the necessary papers are being drawn up against the national television station for allegedly airing a false news piece last night regarding being on the run from Police from the hospital.

Padarath said he has been told by his legal counsel not to say anything further to the media regarding the matter.

Meanwhile, the Land Transport Authority has confirmed that Padarath was disqualified from driving for the next 3 years beginning from August last year and was not supposed to drive until 2009.
