Police finally laid their hands on the BSP Life Sukuna Bowl trophy after a lapse of two years by holding off a late spirited rally from Army beating them 17-15 yesterday.
Police scored two tries to Iliesa Ratuva and Isoa Donaldson while flyhalf Jonetani Ralulu slotted the extras.
The lawmen were boosted in the second half with the inclusion of flying Fijians Ratuva, Setefano Somoca and Seremaia Naureure as they lifted their performance.
Army also scored two tries by Isireli Ledua and Leone Nakarawa though it was not enough as Police held on to claim an emphatic victory.
Manueli Laqai of police was the man of the match.
