The Police boxing club has laid a good platform for their respective teams taking part in the ANZ Sukuna Bowl this week by winning the Sukuna Bowl boxing competition last night.
Police dominated the event winning four of the seven fights.
However, Army’s Jone Mau stole the show last night after defeating favourite Joe Ravudi Jnr in the 75kg category.
Mau displayed good skills as he outclassed Ravudi in the last round to win the fight.
In some of the results last night, Demesio Kadei beat Army’s Sepeti Qito in the 64kg category, Ilaitia Sauturaga defeated teammate Inoke Nabou in the 91kg category while Viliame Vutikalulu won gold in the 91 plus kg defeating Anaisa Waqa.
