Police warn the public to be aware of recent email scams being circulated by so called Interpol Officers.

Assistant PRO Corporal Suliano Tevita confirms certain individuals have been sending emails to members of the public claiming to be an Interpol Agent or Officer asking the recipients to transfer money to an account or saying that Interpol is required to intervene in a large sum of money transfer.

Police said anyone who receives such message should totally ignore it and notify police.
