“Those who are cultivating marijuana in any part of the country can expect to see Police officers very soon in their farms.”
This is the stern message from Police Chief of Operations, ACP Rusiate Tudravu as around 4,000 plants believed to be marijuana have been uprooted in the Northern Division and eight people were taken into custody.
Tudravu said they received reliable information before Christmas last year and 30 Police Officers have since been engaged in the raids.
He said the raids will continue in the coming weeks.
Tudravu said they are now conducting proper analysis before any raid is conducted.
