Police have now started daily night patrols in Tovata following reports highlighted by Fijivillage that some of the residents are being targetted by a group of youths.
Fijivillage received information that last Thursday night, about five houses were stoned by the group.
Residents have raised concern that this happens every week from Thursday to Saturday.
However they were scared to even highlight the issue, thinking that the group would resort to increased violent behaviour.
Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro said they have taken immediate action.
Naisoro said a full investigation is underway.
Residents of Tovata settlement have told Fijivillage today that they now feel safe after increased police presence in the area.
