Police try to connect robberies
Assistant Police PRO Sergeant Suliano Tevita confirmed that Raiwaqa police have received the report of two women stealing valuable items from a house at Suva Point which had a garage sale.
He said police are now looking for the two women and also trying to ascertain if the two were involved in stealing a handbag from a canteen at the Walu Bay Industrial Area last week.
In both cases, the women fled in a taxi and police are also trying to find out which taxi was involved in picking and dropping the women.
Meanwhile, Suva Point resident Diana Gies Brecht is calling for public assistance to apprehend two women who stole some valuable items from a garage sale at her home.
Brecht said the incident occurred on Saturday and Raiwaqa police are investigating the matter.
Brecht said the details of the two women's mobile phone number was given to her and she hopes that the public will assist to catch the women.
