Police will soon return the weapon belonging to a foreigner which was seized last Saturday from a yacht in Denarau after the owner failed to declare the weapon at the port of entry.
Spokesperson, Atunaisa Sokomuri said the owner has been questioned and released by police and upon completion of their investigation the gun will be returned to him.
Sokomuri said upon information police found the firearms on the yacht.
Inspector Sokomuri said foreigners need to declare if they are in possession of firearms at any port of entry.
