Police are expected to question a class 8 student of Kadavu soon for allegedly raping a four year old girl.
Assistant Spokesperson, Corporal Josaia Weicavu has confirmed that officers from the Kadavu Police station will visit the village today where the alleged incident occurred.
Corporal Weicavu said that the alleged incident took place when the girl was alone at home. The boy allegedly lured the girl to his house, saying that he would give her some lunch.
The boy then allegedly raped the four year old who sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Vunisea Hospital where she was admitted.
According to police, the victim's father is out of the country while the mother was away at work.
