A major police operation is expected to start this week, targeting those who are selling liquor after hours or are practicing black markets.

Deputy Director Operations SP Erami Raibe said the operations will be coordinated by the Regional Police Commanders and they are trying to clamp down of the illegal sale of liquor.

He said from previous years it has been noted a a high number of shops and business people start selling liquor after hours or sell it without a license during festive season.

SP Raibe said this year they are trying their best to clamp down of the illegal operators this year.
