Expect more police presence on the Suva and Nadi highway this festive season.
Those were the words of Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni to his officers as their operations start to try and prevent an accident free festive season.
Teleni said major accidents happen on the Queens Road and it is important for police to have their presence felt by road users.
Meanwhile, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said defensive driving helps us understand driving even better, especially during this festive season.
Media Liaison Officer Ratu Eroni Volavola said people need to practice defensive driving more, so that they can ensure everyone's safety.
