The Fiji Taxi Union has partially blamed the Fiji Police Force after an incident on Saturday where a taxi driver's body was found lying in a ditch.
Union's General Secretary, Rishi Ram said after the incident in Labasa where a taxi driver was allegedly murdered, he had a meeting with police to reactivate the Police posts in remote areas which are closed.
Ram said Police should re-look at its earlier decision to close police posts in remote areas.
Ram also said that police should now carry guns with them as thugs nowadays have become more smart and they are not afraid of the police anymore.
