Police team to be named at 4pm
Brigadier General Iowane Naivalurua told his officers to forget about the 14-0 loss to Army in the Sukuna Bowl last year and focus on the future.
More than 700 Police officers from the Central and Western Division also gathered at the Suva foreshore this morning where Naivalurua put the challenge to his players.
The Police Rugby team will be named at 4pm today at the Police Academy in Nasova.
The Sukuna Bowl rugby challenge between Army and Police kicks off at 4pm Friday at the TFL National Stadium and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station Viti FM with Fiji’s voice of rugby, Malakai Veisamasama.
Meanwhile, at 4pm today boxing will start at the Police Academy with the cricket final between Army and Police to start this hour at Queen Elizabeth Barracks.
In yesterday’s results, the Police men’s and women’s basketball teams won their games against Army.
The Police soccer team defeated Army 2-0 to retain their title while the Fiji Corrections Service beat Navy 4-3 in the hockey final.
