Police are now gathering evidence to ascertain who murdered 42-year-old Salesh Chand in Lautoka early last week.
Chief of Intelligence, ACP Luke Navela says another four officers have been sent from Suva to assess the evidence gathered so far.
He says based on the information gathered, they have classified the case of the man whose body was found in a burnt vehicle at Marine Drive in Lautoka, as murder.
Navela says a team of investigators in Lautoka are still following some leads as investigations continue.
The vehicle belonged to Vinod Patel and Company Limited.
Members of the public are requested to call Crime Stoppers on 919 if they have any information that could assist in the investigation.
