Police seized firearms from a yacht in Denarau last Saturday which was not declared by the foreign owner at the port of entry.
Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said upon information police found the firearms on the yacht.
Sokomuri said it’s not clear how many firearms were seized.
The owner of the yacht was questioned and released as no charges have been laid against him as yet.
The fire arms are in police custody.
Inspector Sokomuri said foreigners need to declare if they are in possession of firearms at any port of entry.
