Police have received the post-mortem report of 23 year old Penaia Koroi whose body was found along Nasekula Road on Sunday morning.
Director CID, Waisea Vakamocea confirms Koroi died as a result of receiving multiple fractures in his brain and other parts of his body.
Vakamocea said their investigations have revealed that Koroi who is from Seaqaqa was in a nightclub before the incident and was also accompanied by a friend.
After the nightclub party, it is believed that the friend found his own way home while Koroi was left alone.
Vakamocea said the case is still open and they have not ruled out anything as yet.
The severed body of Koroi was found scattered over the railway tracks.
