Police are still questioning the driver of the vehicle involved in the tragic accident on Friday night where 45 year old tourist died.
Director Traffic, SSP Ramend said the police are still trying to establish who was at fault.
The 45 year old deceased who was a former Fiji Citizen was holiday in Fiji and was a passenger in the car when he died.
It is believed that the private vehicle was racing with another car on the highway when the tyres burst and the two vehicles collided.
The national road death toll stands at 42 compared to 72 for the same period last year.
