Police are currently questioning the ambulance driver whose ambulance tumbled twice near FIT Samabula this morning.

An ambulance driver, a nurse and a woman were in the Ambulance heading towards CWM hospital, after it failed to stop at the red light and collided with a truck heading towards Nausori from Edinborough drive.

Director Traffic, Ramend said all police cars, ambulance and fire brigades have the right of way in the case of an emergency however he emphasised that these drivers still have to take extra precaution and give way to vehicles passing the traffic light area.

He said it is too early to say yet whether the ambulance driver will be charged as investigations continue.
