Lautoka police are questioning a 24 year old man for alleged drug peddling and selling stolen items.

Divisional Crime Officer Western ASP Luke Rawalai confirmed that a team of officers from the Drug Squad in Suva and the Ready Action Force from Namaka raided the house and confiscated two plastic bags of dried leaves believed to be Marijuana.

Police also recovered $6,500 cash, jewellery worth $30,000, two laptops, mobile phones and 9 Tabua worth thousands of dollars.

Police believe that all these items confiscated were stolen from the western division, however, police are yet to establish exactly where these items came from.

According to Rawalai, the suspect was under surveillance for some time.
