Police have today confirmed they are investigating an alleged case of match fixing between Premier soccer teams Tailevu-Naitasiri and Levuka.

Tailevu-Naitasiri thrashed Levuka 22-1 last month in a Premier league match after which some spectators took the matter to Police alleging the match was fixed.

Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro confirms CID officers are investigating the matter.

We asked the parent soccer body, Fiji Football Association if they have carried out an investigation into the matter, and CEO Bob Kumar said they have completed their internal investigation.

Kumar said they have received the outcome but will not reveal it as it may interfere with Police investigations.

Meanwhile, Tailevu Naitasiri will play Rakiraki this Sunday in the Premier Division Viti Levu playoff.
