Nausori Police have beefed up their patrolling of Koronivia, Nakaikogo and Lokia following numerous break-in cases from late last year.

Divisional Crime Officer Eastern ASP Ramesh Chand confirmed the Ready Action Force together with Officers from Nausori Police station is carrying out random patrols of these areas.

According to Chand, more than 10 cases of break-ins have been reported so far as of late last year and residents in these areas are now turning to Police for help.

Chand said they believe some people residing in these three areas are somehow involved in these break-ins however they are yet to make any arrests.

Chand said the last time their Officers chased a group of people in a g-touring green car, the suspects threw beer bottles at the Police vehicles before they fleeing away.
