Police are looking for three men who robbed an accounts clerk of South Sea Cruisers in Nadi, yesterday.

Divisional Crime Officer Western, ASP Waisea Kadawa has confirmed that the clerk was on his way to the bank with the weekends' takings, when the three came in a stolen taxi and confronted him.

The robbers, who were armed and masked, then snatched the bag containing cash and cheques worth more then $50,000.

According to ASP Kadawa the robbers had earlier hired a taxi from Votualevu, Nadi and then robbed the 57 year old driver at Nadi Back road after tying him up.

They then took the taxi to Namotomoto, Nadi where the second robbery took place.

The taxi was later found abandoned at the Nadi bridge with some of the items missing. Police are following some leads and arrests are expected to be made soon.
