One of the most powerful sevens club in the country will miss the services of its top reps in the Fiji Bitter Marist Sevens next weekend.
Fiji TV Sevens Series champion Police are likely to be without their experienced players.
Emosi Vucago, Joeli Lutumailagi and Miti Nacagilevu are all key members of the Police team but with the Fiji Barbarians and Warriors team also playing, this could force coach Manasa Bari to rely on Peni Gaunimeke, Sakenasa Aca, Manu Laqai and Sitiveni Waqa to form the core of this side.
Last year’s champion Army Green, Police, Navy, Warwick, Wardens, Samurai Baracuda, Nawaka and Red Rock together with the Fiji Barbarians and Warriors have confirmed their participation in the Marist Sevens.
The winner of the Fiji Bitter Marist Sevens will walk away with $10,000.
The tournament will be held next Friday and Saturday at the TFL National Stadium.
