Police have labelled the case of the 46-year-old man whose body was found at Lokia Landing in Nausori yesterday as alleged murder which may have been linked to an aggravated robbery.
It is alleged that an unknown person brutally assaulted the victim before stealing a 15hp Yamaha outboard engine.
A group of girls who went to get some dalo leaves found the man with visible injuries on his body and he was groaning in pain.
The girls called for help and the man was taken to the Nausori Hospital where he passed away after few minutes.
As investigations continue, police is requesting if anyone has information that could assist their investigators to call Crime Stoppers on 919.
