Nausori Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 79 year old man of Nausori who was under investigation for allegedly molesting a 7 year old girl.
Divisional Crime Officer Eastern ASP Ramesh Chand has confirmed that the man was found dead in his house by his family members.
Police are now awaiting the post mortem result before deciding on their next step.
The deceased allegedly sexually molested a class 2 student on Friday afternoon when the victim’s parents were away doing Christmas shopping.
He was questioned and released on Saturday afternoon pending investigations. The deceased and the victim were neighbors.
