The Police Ethical Standards Unit is investigating allegations of harassment against a police officer in Labasa.
A Labasa resident has lodged a complaint with the Police Commissioner that he was chased out from the Labasa Court House and the compound for making statements in the media regarding the death of a Labasa taxi driver last month.
Mohammed Imtiyaaz Munif alleged that the police officer used abusive language against him and even after reporting the matter a month ago, no action has been taken as yet.
The Police Ethical Standards Unit has confirmed receiving the complaint saying officers are investigating the matter.
