Police are investigating two separate cases of fire yesterday which completely destroyed two houses.
The first incident happened in Vunimoli, Labasa where the house of a 56 year old driver was completely destroyed with its contents. The family members were at home when the fire started around 10am and managed to escape in time. It is believed that the fire started from an electrical fault.
In a separate incident, the house of a 30 year old farmer of Naila village Tailevu was completely destroyed in a fire while the owner was away.
The cause of fire and cost of damage is not known at this time.
