Police have begun a preliminary inquiry into the death of a student of Marist Brothers High School who succumbed to injuries and died on Friday.
Director CID, Waisea Vakamocea told Legend FM news this morning that police have interviewed a number of students and teachers on how 18 year old Peni Tubukolo died.
Vakamocea says they are now in the process of locating other boarders who witnessed the incident as many have returned home yesterday with the school break being brought forward.
He adds that more information cannot be revealed at this stage as their investigation has just started.
It is believed Tubukolo fell from the third floor of the school's boarding hostel, the Ratu Mara hostel, earlier in the week.
School Management is yet to comment on the incident.
