Labasa Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a retired magistrate in Labasa.
Divisional Crime Officer Northern, ASP Luke Rawalai has confirmed that the partly decomposed body of Magistrate Rudhra Nand Sharma, who is originally from Sri Lanka was found yesterday.
ASP Rawalai said that the neighbours reported the matter to police after a foul smell was reported coming from the house.
Police have requested the relatives of Sharma to contact the Divisional Crime Officer Northern or the nearest police station as soon as possible.
