A 6-year-old girl who fell down a slope while playing with friends in Lololo in Lautoka last Friday has passed away at the Lautoka Hospital.
A police investigation is underway in the case.
The girl was playing with friends at around 5pm last Friday when she fell on a pile of rocks and as a result of losing her balance, the girl fell about 2 metres down a nearby slope.
She sustained injuries.
Police say the girl's mother tried to apply CPR which turned out negative.
The 6-year-old girl was pronounced dead on arrival at the Lautoka Hospital.
Investigations are continuing with Police.
