Police are investigating the cause of the fire which destroyed the Inter-Island Vessel, Sinuwasa Tolu a little after 1pm this afternoon.
Divisional Police Commander Eastern, SSP Emosi Baleinuku, has confirmed that a team has been assigned to investigate the fire which destroyed the vessel which was formerly known as the Adi Savusavu while it was berthed at the Levuka Wharf.
The cost of damage is unknown at this moment.
No reports of casualties have been received.
A team of six highly qualified fire officers are on their way to Levuka to investigate the fire which destroyed the Inter-Island vessel Sinuwasa-3 this afternoon.
Chief Fire Officer, Mark Reid has confirmed that his officers in Levuka went to the scene after receiving a call.
He has directed a team to fully investigate the cause of the fire.
