Police have today confirmed that they are investigating a number of cases whereby people have been found producing and selling fake visas.
Deputy Director CID, SP Adi Sen has revealed that a number of cases have been reported at Central Police and Samabula Police Stations and they are now under investigation.
SP Sen said some of the cases have also been reported by the Immigration Department.
According to police some people have also reported that they have paid plenty of money to certain people for the arrangement of visas and migration overseas.
Meanwhile, Director Immigration Commander Villiame Naupoto confirmed on Saturday that immigration officials have turned back a number of people from Nadi International Airport for producing fake visas.
He has called on the members of the public not to be fooled by conmen.
