Police are investigating a break-in at the Western Union Centerpoint branch this morning where large sum money was believed to have been stolen.

The break-in was discovered by staff when they went to open the office this morning.

Assistant Spokesperson, Sergeant Atunaisa Sokomuri has confirmed the break-in, however declined to reveal any other information saying that investigations are still continuing.

Meanwhile, Police in Lautoka raided a cane farm and uprooted 100 marijuana plants with a street value of more than $200,000 yesterday afternoon.

Sokomuri said the plants were four to five feet tall and were matured. The raid was carried out following a tip off.

The 31yr old farm owner is in police custody and is expected to be charged soon.

Earlier this week Police raided a farm in Navosa and uprooted 600 marijuana plants worth an estimated six million dollars.
