Police are still investigating the death of a man in his late 20’s who died instantly this morning, when the FEA truck he was driving crashed into the railing of the Rewa Bridge before tumbling over the side.
The truck was travelling from Nausori to Suva when it is believed the driver lost control of the vehicle forcing it over the side of the bridge, crashing and killing him instantly.
There was no one else in the vehicle with him.
A post mortem is expected to be carried out tomorrow to determine the cause of death.
This is the first road fatality on the new Rewa Bridge.
