Police are now trying to get tests done to determine whether a woman suffering from HIV/AIDS slept with some youths in Vanua Levu.
Savusavu Police have confirmed that they took a woman who has HIV/AIDS for the last seven years for questioning after it was alleged that she was drinking with four youths on Thursday.
A caller tipped off police who later found the woman in a farm house with a man and took her for questioning.
Police also questioned the youths involved who claimed that they slept with the woman, not knowing that she had HIV/AIDS.
The youths involved were taken to doctors for medical tests however the doctors have told police that the final result to confirm whether these youths have contracted HIV/AIDS will be known after 6 months.
