Police are now investigating a 21-year-old mother who allegedly left her 8-month-old baby boy at the Borete Street rubbish dump in Nadawa on Sunday night.
A woman and her husband found the baby after they heard him crying.
Police say the woman allegedly left her baby at the rubbish dump after an argument with her defacto husband.
The baby has been medically examined and is now staying with his father after consultation with the Social Welfare Department.
