Police have now launched an investigation in relation to another two people who allegedly impersonated government officials and were taking signatures of people in Ba.

Police Spokesperson, Atunaisa Sokomuri confirms a complaint was lodged with the police yesterday.

The complainant noticed an advertisement of a proposed political party applying for registration and noticed her name was published in the papers.

She felt suspicious and reported the matter to police and has stated that at no time she was informed about it by the two men who were conducting checks on the voter registration card.

Meanwhile, a stop departure has been ordered against two men who were allegedly impersonating government elections officials in the Western Division.

Ravneel Dutt and Shiresh Chand appeared in the Ba Magistrates Court earlier this week charged with four counts of impersonation.
