Police have intensified their investigations into the murder of a couple who were found dead in their Valelevu apartment on Monday afternoon.
Regional Police Commander Southern SSP Manoj Singh said investigations are still underway and they are seeking the public's assistance.
He adds 30 police officers now working on the case.
Police are calling on members of the public to come forward with any information on the death of two people in Valelevu whose post mortem report shows that they died of severe multiple stab wounds.
The decomposed bodies of 38 year old Ashok Kumar and 34 year old Mohini Lata were found in an apartment on Monday afternoon.
The case is now being treated as murder.
The couples, who were in a de-facto relationship and were running a Kura soap business, were reported missing on 19th December last year. The families thought that the two had gone overseas in relation to some business matters.
