Police presence has increased in Suva and Lautoka due to a number of activities from this weekend.
Assistant spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said a lot of sporting activities will be held this weekend which includes the Battle of the Giants and the Deans finals.
He also said the 2nd term school holidays also starts next Friday and they have increased police presence and alertness to curb any incidents.
Meanwhile, Police are still hunting for a prisoner Josua Naisiga who escaped from the Natabua prison last month.
Police have urged members of the public to assist in Naisiga's arrest and also warned people not to harbor prisoners.
