Police have managed to identify the body of a woman which was found in a cassava patch in Toorak early this morning.
Divisional Crime Officer Southern SP Apisalome Tuiwakaya had confirmed that the deceased is in her 50's and was living in a nearby settlement.
Police have also managed to establish that she was living with her son and daughter-in-law.
A post mortem is underway to determine the cause of her death and to determine whether foul play was involved.
Her body was discovered at about 2 o'clock this morning by a security officer who was guarding a nearby house.
No one has been taken in for questioning as yet.

The burnt body of a woman was found in a cassava patch in Toorak early this morning.
Assistant Police Spokesperson Sergeant Atunaisa Sokomuri had confirmed that the body was discovered by a security officer at Brewster Street at around 2am this morning.
Officers have managed to remove the body from the cassava patch and investigations are now underway.
Police are expected to release more details of the incident later today.
