Police have now identified one of the main people allegedly involved in picking up a car company sales executive from his office and assaulting him outside Suva for a number of hours.

The alleged assault occurred in Colo-i-Suva on the 4th of this month.

The man was allegedly picked up from his office by eight men and taken to the bushes in Colo-i-Suva.

He was beaten up there and left to find his own way back.

The sales executive reported the matter to Valelevu Police last week.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the suspect in the Colo-i-Suva incident is expected to be brought in once he returns from duty out in the training field which is in an isolated area.

Naisoro said once he returns he will be taken in for questioning.
