Police are still hunting for the man is alleged to have assaulted a 50 year old Lautoka shopkeeper to death in his shop on Friday night.
Police say the man has gone into hiding and they are now working with the members of the public to apprehend him.
Divisional Crime Officer Western, SP Vijay Singh said the suspect is known to them and a team of Police Officers are hunting for him.
Nothing was stolen from the victims shop however and Police are also trying to determine the motive behind the alleged murder.
The post mortem results of the deceased reveal that he died of brain hemorrhage.
