Police have not ruled out the possibility of a connection between the discovery of the two decomposed bodies found in Deuba yesterday and the Kumar family which went missing in Navua about a year ago.

Divisional Crime Officer Central, SP Tevita Lesu said there is a possibility that the bodies could have drifted from the sea to the picnic spot.

Lesu also said the bodies might have drifted from the Navua River into the sea and later to shore.

However, Lesu said it is too early to establish whether the two are from the same family as they will now await post moterm reports which will be conducted tomorrow.

Police say a landscaper of a nearby resort discovered the body of a female, with the head and both legs missing while two women from a nearby village found the body of a male on the reef, also with both legs and head missing.
