Police are questioning a minivan driver of Sigatoka after a plastic bag full of dried leaves believed to be marijuana were recovered from his minivan.

Following a tip-off police monitored the driver who was on his way to Sigatoka town.

Assistant Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the vehicle was later searched in Sigatoka town and a plastic bag full of dried leaves was recovered.

In another incident, a man is in custody at the Labasa Police Station after police recovered 29 parcels of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

Officers found him acting in a suspicious manner which led to his arrest.
