For years the Police Force have had to buy their vessels and equipment and this is the first time the Force has built its own water security vessel.
These are the words of the Commissioner Police, Commissioner Police, Chief of Staff Kauwata Saqila at the launch of the water vessel, Adi Gau at the School of Maritime Studies this afternoon.
Saqila said with the increasing demand in water policing nationwide it is important that the Force is prepared at all times.
The boat will service most of the islands in the Lomaiviti Group and will based at Gau Island.
