Police are now in the process of gathering witness statements after a woman allegedly swore at a senior government official at Gorrie Street in Suva late yesterday afternoon.
Fijivillage has been informed that some bodyguards are expected to give their statements about the incident.
The alleged incident occurred during the opening of the employers hub at the Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation and the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association building.
The woman was shouting from the road while the devotion was underway before the opening of the employers hub.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the woman was taken in, questioned and released as investigators try to gather more statements.
Naisoro says it is alleged that she was shouting and swearing as she was angry about the traffic caused by the event last night.
She says that the woman had mentioned the name of a senior government official.
