Police have called on members of the public to respect police officers in uniform after a lady police constable was attacked by a man in Lautoka yesterday.
Assistant police spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the lady police constable was allegedly approached by a drunkard man who attacked her with an empty beer bottle on her face.
The constable fell and in the process received injuries.
She was taken to Lautoka hospital.
The man fled the scene and Police are still searching for him.
