Police Constable, Saimoni Rokotunidau appeared in the Suva High Court this morning charged with multiple charges of robbery with violence.
Suva High Court Judge Justice, Daniel Goundar allowed bail for Rokotunidau after hearing a character reference from a senior Police Officer.
According to DPP Prosecutor, Paulini Madanavosa there were several pending cases against the accused to which Judge Justice Daniel Goundar told Madanavosa to accumalate all the cases against Rokotunidau, before they went on with the case.
In granting Rokotunidau's bail, Justice Goundar took into consideration that the acccused was now with the Police Force and had strong character references.
Rokotunidau was allowed bail on the condition that he paid a surety of $500, had a fixed place of residence and did not interfere with investigations.
The Case will be called before the Courts on the 13th of August for mention.
